How to care for items [gold.K18 items]

Hello, I'm Yamauchi, a staff member at the Aoyama store.

How are you all doing these days as summer passes and autumn approaches?

As the demand for gold items has increased in stores for the fall and winter,

Today we will introduce how to care for gold and K18 items.

LORO's gold items are made from gold bullion, including K9, K10, K14, K18,

In addition, silver and brass are used as base metals,

Some items are available with K18 color plating and some with K18 plating.

Color plating is a coating of K18 color.

K18 plating is coated with 18k gold.

For items that come into contact with your skin and are subject to friction, such as rings and necklaces,

It is coated with K18 plating, which has a thicker coating .

Regarding how to care for plating items,

Polishing with abrasive cloths may cause peeling.

After use, wipe it with a soft cloth and place it in a sealed bag.

You can keep it in good condition.

Gold is a very soft material,

The strength is increased by adding other materials (alloys) to the gold.

The gold type varies depending on the gold content, from K9 to K18.

This material is resistant to discoloration,

Because it contains alloys, if sweat or sebum is left on it, it will oxidize and

It may also cause discoloration.

As a care method, do not leave sweat or sebum on the skin.

You can keep it in good condition,

After use, rinse lightly with water and wipe with a soft cloth.

We recommend soaking it in a cleaning solution specifically for K18.

Also, since it is prone to discoloration in hot springs, the sea, and pools,

I recommend that you remove it.

You can also consult about care at both our Aoyama and Osaka stores.

Please feel free to ask our staff.

We are now in a time of year when the temperature fluctuates greatly, so please take care of yourselves.

Thank you for reading to the end.
