LORO / 1117 Osaka Direct Store Introduction

The refreshing autumn days continue,
How are you doing?

My name is Mori from the Osaka store and I will be writing the journal from now on.
Thank you very much for your cooperation.

The grand opening was held on September 14th.
We would like to introduce you to LORO/1117's Osaka flagship store.

Our second directly managed store, the Osaka store, was built in 1930 and opened in the Osaka Norin Kaikan, a registered tangible cultural property.

Following on from the Aoyama store, we asked architect Koichi Futamata to design the interior, with the aim of making effective use of the limited space by making use of the historic architectural structure and original features.

When you enter the store, you'll find a dynamic space that makes you feel like you've stepped into a museum.

The ceiling arches retain the structure of the Agriculture and Forestry Hall, and are something that is rarely seen in modern architecture. The curves are very beautiful, and it is one of the parts that we would like everyone to see.

The interior of the store is based on the concept of the director's "inside his heart," with two spaces separated by a single glass screen.

To the right of the entrance is the LORO space, which mainly sells silver jewelry.

The concrete-like design, contrasted with black and white, creates a tense and dignified atmosphere, giving the space a "special feeling, like stepping into a laboratory," while allowing customers to approach the jewelry with a neutral mindset.

Also, the way natural light shines in varies depending on the season and time of day,
One of the charms of this space is that you can enjoy the various expressions that change depending on the light that falls on the fixtures and jewelry, not just the space itself.

On the left side is the 1117 space, which offers custom-made jewelry mainly made from 18K gold.

We use natural materials such as pine and sisal to create a space that gives you a sense of calm and security .

The cylindrical lighting fixture that symbolizes the 1117 space is "Tekio" by the Spanish lighting brand Santa & Cole.

Inspired by paper lanterns, this light is made for this place, gently illuminating not only the space but also the jewelry by passing light through the fine, delicate material of washi paper .

There is also a private space at the back of the store, which is also a space where you can have a relaxed meeting.

The chairs used during meetings are KAWARA chairs and KABUTO chairs, which are also used in the Aoyama store, so you can feel the connection between the two stores.

The beams, called H-beams, serve as a foothold connecting the spaces of the two brands, which have different atmospheres.

This H-beam is also used for the legs of the tables and fixtures, and by connecting it not only to the interior of the store but also to the facade, we express through the H-beam our desire that the interior and exterior be perceived as one, rather than as separate.

This new space harmonizes the worldviews of both "LORO" and "1117," and is designed to be in line with the jewelry materials that both brands handle, so we hope you will come and enjoy it.

All of our staff are looking forward to seeing you.

Thank you very much for reading to the end.
